Carrier bearing or Carbon seal?

Hi, does anyone know if a 98gsxl and a 2001 seadoo sporster le have the carrier bearing or carbon seal? Also what maintenance should be done on the jet pump besides oil change?

Your 98 is a carrier...as for the 01 im not sure...Change oil and check condition of prop and wear ring

How often should I greease the PTO?

I have zip ties on my pto boot...so I check and clean up any mess before every ride. I think its a seasonal thing tho..however cant hurt to keep a eye on it just don't over fill it.

Fill until you see the boot start to push back

If your carbon seal leaks and you don't want to replace it or its just the bellows the manual states you can use a big o ring/ Spacer to shim the bellows forward just a FYI
