Carburator Rebuilt Kits - Beware of Garbage

Just sharing my recent experience rebuilding my Mukini carbs on my '97 GTIs - bought a couple kits from National Carburators where I bought a carb for one of them (and it works fine). The kits were both incomplete and complete garbage - the gaskets were like cheap paper someone cut out and wouldn't seal the pump chamber. The company was very gracious and refunded my money (although I'd spent hours trying to figure out why neither carb worked for crap afterwards) but I can't see those kits working for anyone - shocking how bad they were. I ordered a set from SBT and they were great - complete and good quality. Carbs work great now.

Peace out

SBT kits are trash too. Genuine Mikuni kits are the only way to go. If you are not paying $45 each, you are buying junk.

I bought aftermarket kits from Parker Sea Doo. They were garbage. I called Parker Sea Doo service dept to ask a question and they told me they wont install aftermarket kits. I suggested the service dept let the parts dept know. sarcasm. parts dept already knows. Use Mikuni ONLY
