ok i have a 94 seadoo xp with a 650, carbs are all cleaned out, rotary valve checked twice, 130psi in each cylinder exactly, good gas good spark(new plugs) but this damn thing will not start. so i grabbed a timing light, marked the rear flywheel at TDC with corresponding mark on engine caseing, cranked it over while holding the timing light and the marks are way off, almost 90 degrees off from what i could see, but drastically off. so checked the woodruff key GOOD!, ohmed out the coil on black and black/red, got 147ohms according to manual that is in spec. this jet has timing issues, where else can i go with this?????

You really can't check the timing marks while cranking it over with the starter. Check the timing marks on the stator plate and you should be good to go, or use a dial indicator and check the timing with the degree angle in the manual to the TDC of the piston. I doubt that is the problem. If you have spark...add some premixed fuel in the spark plug holes reinstall the plugs and hit the starter. It should at least pop or run for few seconds...meaning it is a fuel problem. The main ingredients ...Fuel, Air, Spark, compression...bam , it should fire.

:agree::agree:I have two 94 spx with 650 engines.
Freshly cleaned carbs and spark...sounds like you have a fuel delivery problem. Check and see if the plugs are wet. If they are dry check the fuel selector valve, as well as, the O-ring on the external fuel filter. The selector valve could be clogged.

is it possible my amplifier is screwed up and lagging behind??? judging by the wiring diagram that is whats in between the stator and coil

believe you me i got all the elements compression, spark and fresh fuel. cylinder is defenitally not firing at the CORRECT time, its sparking just at the wrong time, unless this motor does not fire at TDC

I had the same problem and changed everything and it didn't work eg. cpu, wiring harness, checked everything 4 times changed mag. and flywheel and it ended up that i had two bad flywheels and the third one that i tried worked hope this helps
