So I was beating on my speedster for about a half a tank .. then had the wifey bring it to the launch. She expainled the driver side motor didn't even try to start. I hoped in .. and she was right. I put the rig on the trailer on one motor and started to troubleshoot, the mpem knows the starter is there, but when I push the starter button ... nothing. Other starter button gets passenger side engine running fine. If in gear or "F" still get beep. or when lanyard is put on still get two beeps

Can someone point me in right direction .. battery is good and battery connections and connections to starter are good ???:confused:

sounds like you need to start with the starting solenoid it should have 2 wires goin into it one will have ground the other will have 12 volts when the key is turned to the start position if you have power and ground and it still wont turn over the solenoid is dead and needs replaced thats where i would start

similar thing happened to me, try to take a booster cable, and put it from the negative battery terminal in the boat to the engine ground... it could be a bad ground (mine looked alright, but they weren't)

Awesome thanks guys!! I have ordered a new solenoid/relay, whether I need it or not its, a good part to have laying around. I didn't have time to get horsin around with it last night so I'll head back up to lake this weekend with a new relay. I'll also try the grounding trick with the cable.

Thanks a ton!!

Update: Got it sorted out. The yellow wire came loose from the relay. I have a spare new one now anyways. Thanks alot for helping me out, I know it prolly seemed like a dumb question. I just haven't really ever had to learn this electrical system before.
