Best way to replace rolling ping on reverse bucket hook lever challenger 180 2006

Can someone please suggest the best way to replace the rolling pin on the reverse bucket for the forward hook lever.

Mine was broken

If i: what i’m thinking (roll pin thats hammered in) use a drift punch and or pluers to get it out, to install new one a trick is to use vice grips, adjust them down to insert it a ittoe way when clamped, open and adjust down some more, etc etc till flush. Depending on size you may need large vicegrips
