Hi,

I help a friend with her 1999 Speedster SK, has 2 rotax engines. Had it winterized last fall - they took out battery.

I put battery back in tray, secured it. Battery cut-off is in OFF postition.

I have one thick Red cable - I hoooked it to Positive. I have two smaller wires I also hooked to positive.

I have two thick black cables - I presume goe to negative. When I touch them to NEG post, get sparks. I stopped here.

Should my smaller wires go to NEG (and/or where do they all go) ?

Thanks, Jcbarnes

That means, basically, everything except the big red cable go to negative.

Thanks, I'll post an update after I get out to the boat to hook up correctly.

Thats how my 98 speedster is. Only thing from positive of the battery is the red cable. It goes to the battery switch. Since these have a switch, all accessroies and other things needing power attach to the switch not the battery.
