Anyone in the Chicago/Milwaukee area want to install a 951 motor in an 02 GTX?

I have an 02 GTX carb that needed a new motor. My close friend rebuilt the motor last week since the old one locked up. However, hes now super busy at work (does construction/remodeling) and I need the motor installed in the GTX and would love to at least ride this year for at least once if possible. I dont want to take it to the stealership, is there any local guys/companies in the area from Chicago to Milwaukee would install for a reasonable price? The motor is all put together complete.

It's not that hard. Rent an alignment tool, and do it yourself.

Even for someone who hasn't done it before... it should only take an afternoon.

If you want to drag it to Pittsburgh, I'll do it.

alignment tool? For what

To align the driveshaft from the motor to the pump. SBT has one for $149 to buy but $75 to rent and ship back to them.

why do i have to align it? i never took off the driveshaft

You remove the front motor mount then? how else did you get the engine out? unless of course you unbolted the PTO adapter while it was in the hull..

I left the motor mount on the hull and took that one bolt off from the motor mount.... btw... which battery does my 02 GTX carb take?
