We were riding our 2010 RXT 260is when we lost power the check engine light came on along with the ibr light. I checked for fault codes and had C0043 displayed. Restarted it and tried to accelerate same thing would happen. I checked the reversing bucket and it seemed to move fine. It has 97 hours and is getting the supercharger rebuilt on Wednesday.

update: The code is related to the iBR actuator. It is being replaced under warranty.

Have you had any issues prior to now with your ski? Does your suspension squeak? I have a 2011 and my iBR actuator is getting replaced now with only 8 hours.

No, it has ran great except for a piece of drift wood got jammed on the impeller and a tow rope wrapped around the drive shaft. As far as a squeak in the suspension, yes, but it is not perfectly centered so one side rubs once in a while. The ski had brought the error twice one day but several hours apart. The next time we went out it was happening constantly but the we hadn't tightened the drain plugs. Not sure if that caused the constant error or not we didn't run it anymore that day. We are picking it up tomorrow if it is ready. They have had it for more than a week.

Did they say what caused the failure on your ski? I asked but the service manager didn't know at the time will ask again when we pick it up.

Apparently so. The left side rubs on mine a little too. It feels good to hear some good news with this ski. I've been having some sh!tty luck with mine. Good luck with yours.

Took the ski out after getting it back yesterday, 10 minutes into the check ride iBR light on. Shut it down for a few minutes everything ok for about an hour. Load up and go back into town and get wife from work to go for a joy ride. Back at the ramp unloading ski start it and it launches into the the truck. Thinking it was an accident and the wife hadn't pulled the iBr lever all the way back we went out for a ride. Didn't even get 100 yds from the dock it went into code again. This time with more codes C0043, C0073, P1661, and one other I don't remember. We both are not at all happy.

Any one have a code list for the iS Seadoo's?

Hello:

Code C0073 is a ECM software failure and has to with the iBR. You have to to get an ECM software update.

Code C0043 is Brake lever shorted to ground also for your iBR. Alot of iBR actuator failures.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, I think I've figured out what may be causing the codes. I went out again Sunday morning. Installed the DESS hit the start button to wake it up instant iBR light. Tried several times before it woke up with out the light. Went for a ride the fault would happen randomly. Didn't matter whether going slow or fast, smooth or rough it would fault very randomly. The only time I could get it repeat is when I tilted the steering all the way up.

So I tried hitting steering assy and it would happen once in while. I then opened the hood and removed the storage container and looked at the harness. It looked like it could get pinched between the upper and lower decks plus it wasn't tied back out of the way. There is two connectors a small and large one. I took the small one apart then gave the big one a squeeze to make sure it was seated fully. Since doing that plus making sure all the fuses were seated it has been ridden for 3+ hours and no iBR light.

Also my dealer said they have been having a rash of iBR failures. Hopefully this solves the problem.

Zookeeper, How has your ski been doing? Any more problems?

I went out after work yesterday for about a hour and hammered on the thing still going strong. Hopefully it continues. I still need to get the instrument cluster and control harness secured and out of the way. Going out to test some more shortly.

Yeah its still in the shop waiting for parts. iBR Actuator needed to be replaced and the rear gate is warped. I hope to get it back sometime this week......i hope. Glad yours is good.

It has been good since I messed with harness. The wife and I went out on the river for an hour or so with no sign of trouble. We have about 5 hours of hard riding testing it with out any faults of any kind. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Best of luck with yours, we have really enjoyed ours until the iBR started to act up.

Good to hear. Thanks.

Up to 108 hours and no faults yet since reseating the connectors at 101 hours. Now I need to figure out a way to tie the harness back with out adding any additional problems.

Zookeeper any news on your ski yet?

Im sure you'll figure something out. iBR actuator replaced. Took it out for a test ride and all seemed good. I hope it stays like that!

That's good to hear. Our first test ride resulted in a dent under the tail light of our pickup.

Have good weekend!

I am looking for info on codes C2250 and C2231. I seem to be finding plenty of info on the P codes but not C. Any help would be appreciated. I have a 2012 RXT IS and am having issues with the IS system. Thanks!

Both of these codes suggest checking the actuator pump wiring on the suspension. C2231 states the motor may be shorted to ground or battery. C2250 refers to system current software breaker with possible cause being battery input current too high. Hope this helps some. Good Luck.

Huge help, thank you.

This will be a warranty repair, and that gives me enough information to know that hanging parts IS NOT going to be the answer.

My 2010 RXT is 260 is driving me mad. I keep getting fault code 127. It let me ride it up to about 60kph but no faster. Have taken it back to the dealer and they haven't seen it before. very frustrating. I bought new so I didn't get any problems and all I seem to get is problems!
