i have a 94 xp it is amazing. the strange thing is that i can do about 53. why is this? i know theres a new intake and impeller on it, but it doesnt seem like it should be that fast. but im not complaining.

It could with a few mods. It's a light hull, and it was the performance ski of it's day. If it has a high compression head, pipe, and a good inpeller... an X4 hull XP can get into the 50 mph range. Even stock... it should be right at 50.

How are you clocking your speed?

buddy gots the 95xp(dual carbs, 717cc), and that ski bangs. Just a ski length behind my 96xp..X4 hull, which came out in 95xp800.

my buddy has an accurate gps (he uses it on his boats), radar gun, and my friends 03 wave runner i was blowing past and his spedo was 52 so that brought up the qquestion. then we tested it with the gun and gps and both were me goin 55, and 56.(i also am not a small guy)
