As if there isn't enough already.
I only have about 3 hours on fresh top end...those 3 hours were on the injection system (using seadoo Xps synthetic yellow container) plus a quart or so I added to the gas tank...
1.5hr ride, ran great no issues.
Another 1.5hr ride, ran great..the wear ring went but I was only 100yrds from the dock thankfully and just putted over...then..
At the dock loading up hull was completely clean and dry..get home (1 mile drive) half the oil or more is leaked into the hull...long story short it's not the tank seam, tank crack anywhere else, bottom tank grommet, inline filter or oil line..tank holds pressure, tank and line hold oil all the way up to the pump....pump won't hold pressure or oil..
Got the motor finished late in the season, and now I would like to get a few more hours on the motor before I take the pipe off, take the pump off, etc. and look into the oil pump issue/replacement...so in the mean time before a winter mini tear down, should I run a stronger pre mix for a few more hours or just go to 40:1 ?
And is there any harm in just running it on premix without taking the pump off and adding a block plate ? Obviously low oil warning will be on, but not sure if there's any other issues it could cause if any..? No lines need to be looped or anything ? And I think I read a way to trick the low oil sensor..connect the wires maybe..?
