I have been working on restoring one of my 97 SPX's and have reached the point of putting the rub rails back on after painting. I was not a fan of using rivets since I wanted it to be easier to remove if the paint started pealing or something, so my plan was to use stainless 10-32 screws. Well I managed to compeatly overlook the fact that the original holes are high enough that they don't exit completely on the flat portion of the flange, so there is no way you are getting a nut on the backside. Has anybody used a different method?
Also does anyone know where I can find a replica of this Coast Gaurd safety standard decal? The kit that I bought did not come with one and I have have found similar ones on Ebay but would prefer a match.
