I've had my fair share of wiring difficulties with this ski and it appears my last hurdle before shes's good to go are these three codes.

P0261 - #1 injector short to ground or open circuit
P0264 - #2 injector short to ground or open circuit
P0267 - #3 injector short to ground or open circuit

Other than cleaning connections at he injector....any tips on where to look? Where does this circuit lead to/potential fault locations?

Thanks guys and gals.

Ok, here's what I've read in the manual and learned from the schematic, power to the injectors comes from the MPEP (Pin 2 on each of the injectors). When the intake valve gets to the correct position, the ECU provides a ground path to the injector to complete the circuit. So, here's what I would do.

1. Disconnect the "A" electrical connector at the ECU (that's the one closest to the center of the ECU)
2. Disconnect the electrical connector at injector 1.
3. Using a multimeter, check for continuity between pin 1 (Black wire with red stripe), and the engine block. This will let you know if you have a short to ground.
4. Repeat step 2 & 3 for injectors 2 & 3 (BW BL wire and BW GY wire respectively)

If you have continuity in any circuit, fix the wire. If you don't I'll bet you have an ECU problem. Since the ECU provides the grounds for all three injectors, it's odd that you are experiencing shorts in all three circuits at the same time. However, if your wiring harness has been repaired in the past, that could be the source of your problems.

Lastly, before you put the "A" connector back on the ECU, spray the ECU Pins and the electrical with Deoxit. That stuff works! Excessive resistance in the circuit may be an issue.

Post your results.

Have you been doing any work on the ski ?

Have you checked the wiring connector for the injectors at the front of the intake manifold, it tends to hide underneath and can be hard to see or easy to miss.

I had the engine out of a previous RXP and when reinstalled I had the same codes on start up turns out I had missed the connector under the front of the intake manifold so the injectors were not connected to the ECU. Being that all three injectors show the same fault I would look at the wiring harness.

There are only 2 connectors on my ECU so I'll hve to dig into which one is the "A" connector. Neither are closest to the center. I'll give what you said a shot. I think I need a new harness, this ski tends to have electrical issues that get fixed with just unplugging and replugging in things.

What do you mean by front? Towards the bow? Or underneath the manifold on the starbord side? The ski has been having some electrical issues so yes a lot of unplugging and replugging of connectors has been occuring.

I used to have problems with my '02 GTX too until I pulled the MPEM, sprayed all the contacts with Dexoit, sprayed the wiring harness connectors, and then reconnected everything. If you don't have visible damage to your wiring, I'll bet it's the connections. I actually replaced my starter solenoid, because I put the lanyard on and (intermittently) nothing would happen ... no beep, no information center etc.... Once I used Deoxit, the problem was gone.

The injectors are pins A15, A33, and A14 (#1, #2, and #3 respectively)

This attachment appears to be invalid, can you try again?

I'm a big fan of Deoxit and it's fixed 80% of the problems with this ski (well, the homedepot equivalent of it has...). I think I need to repeat for whatever connector these injectors are on. I'm afraid to touch too many connectors in case some of my old gremlins come back.
