Just been informed by a seadoo mechanic to be ware of after market drive shafts for my ski as I'm looking for a complete drive shaft kit for a 09 gti 155se 1500 cc Rotax engine.
Is there a sure way of IDing a aftermarket shaft compared to genuine shaft?
I'm being told the aftermarket shafts have a rep of breaking/snapping in half?

I would assume there will be an OEM part number if it was a Seadoo shaft.

I don't recall normally seeing a number stamped on an OEM shaft, but maybe i'm not looking hard enough ? If I know what machine it came out of I tape the info onto the shaft if its in good enough shape to keep. Otherwise the length determines the "match"

on my RXTX I put an aftermarket SBT shaft in mine, my tuner put SBT in his, that was good enough for me.
