He's got a 02 seadoo 950 Di 2 stroke. He's been looking locally for spark plugs though no one has"em but can order them in at $35 each, I'm finding the same plugs on eBay for under 20 but it says they are for Honda cars. Is there any difference in the length of plugs used between the ski and cars. Plug type is Ngk-R?
Cheers

very easy to find NGK zfr4f11's, go to advance auto, auto zone, napa, etc. don't let them give you the cross reference version of another brand, make them order them for you if they don't have in stock. only use NGK, you'll be sorry if you don't. like lou says, less than $3 each.

The OP is in Australia BTW. So that is likely the problem. But plugs should be able to be found there I would think.

I see now, didn't realize he's in AU. I can send him spark plugs cheaper than $35 each. I ship to AU all the time through our winter.

Hey Sportster,

Wiz-A-Roo spark plugs, do you know where I can buy a set? Kidding aside, one of my ski's had NGK Iridium spark plugs when I bought it, the previous owner thought it would help with the "miss", the miss turned out to be a bad rectifier. Anyway the plugs didn't last any longer or run any better than the stock plugs, just cost three times as much.

Lou, I'm running a set of the iridium plugs now that we're given to me to test out. I haven't noticed any difference to speak of. They are supposed to resist fouling better than the br8es plugs. Haven't seen any proof considering I have yet to foul a plug in any of my doo's regardless of plug type.

Cheers for the input guys, LouDoo that's the plugs we're after, excuse me for being a bit dumb but never thought to search the model numbers of the plugs ZFR4F-11. I think as my mate was looking locally the retail places was doing what exactly what ski-d00 is saying ( cross Ref) hence is more then likely why he was being told $35 a piece. Know I know to look at the model numbers I'll look a bit more for them here, ski-d00 if we don't have any luck with better pricing here what would ya charge to ship a few this way?.
Once again guys cheers for the quick response.

I am an auto tech, one problem we occasionally see is customers changing to platinum or iridium plugs when OEM is an inexpensive copper core plug. Some of the higher dollar plugs require more KV's to fire. It can cause a misfire that wasn't there before or a coil to fail. Personally, I try to use what was OEM only. Just something to think about.

Right, don't take the bait. Running too hot of a plug (perhaps a Wiz-A-Roo #22?) is a good way to run into detonation issues thus best case is, a Wiz-A-Roo doesn't create problems (such as a roasted piston, for instance).

ski-d00 I'm guessing that's going to be U.S $ ?

Ok no worries. I'll see what he's decided on and which way he wants to go. Cheers
