Adding ski mode to gtx155

I found the plug n play module to add ski mode to my gtx155 (like the wake models come with). But before spending $135 I want to know a little more about it. I understand the programable ramp function but I would like to know if the speed functjon while underway is different than the cruise function I already have. Will the ski mode improve the speed control over the standard cruise. In other words, will the ski mode react quicker to keep the speed constant when someone edges a ski or wakeboard?

Let me try asking the question another way, with cruise function as I now have it, I can pre-select a maximum speed, say 18 mph. I can then use the throttle to accelerate to that speed and keep the throttle pinned and cruise should keep the speed constant (in theory) but if a skier edges out from center and causes extra drag, the boat will slow. Would ski mode react quicker and keep the speed more constant
