Hi All

My Boss has a Sea-Doo which he wants to sell. The seat is ripped and he wants to have this repaired before the sale.

He's told me to remove the seat with a view to taking it somewhere to be repaired.

I cant get it off.

I have taken out the bolts that hold on the tie line thingy on each side and now it looks like I have to remove the bolt that's inside the boot under the seat.

Is this correct? I don't want to take it off unless I need to because it looks like it will be a real pain to get back on.

Any advice will be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Dave

Assuming it is a PWC, since you posted it in the PWC section, those seats just pop off with the press of a button or lever, in most, if not all, cases.

What model is the ski? Most that I know of have a lever under the rear of the seat that you press up, and the back of the seat comes up, then slide it back off a hinge.

there should be no screws or bolts.

If it is a boat, that is something different,

Post your year and model i.e. 1996 XP etc.

My apologies....I had that info in my first attempt but it got lost when I tried to post it.

It's a 1998 Bombadier XP Limited.

It looks to be solidly attached through the middle of the boot under the seat but I really don't know for sure.

yup, they're a pain. Remove the bottom shield, the hose clamp, to pull down the shock boot, then remove the bolt holding the shock, then you can flip the skis' seat up
