Did a carb rebuild and went up river. Noticed acsubstantial difference in thrust power between both engines. Has new impellers and rings. Took off jet nozzles to repaint them and noticed a big difference on the inside on the jet giving more power. It had a lip and the other is smooth. Can someone check theirs and see if it's the same way? Thanx

the "lip" can be integrated into the wearring. If thats what yuor referring to, you can accomplish a fix, by using a neoprene seal, on each of the pumps.

I have only had mine apart once and put it back together with RTV sealant since that is what the shop manual did. I was curious why they didnt use the neoprene seal on our model. What seal do you use? I am guessing the same once that is listed for the older boats.

Did You switch?

I hope You put them back on in the right place. One outlet is smaller than the
other. Could You have put starboard on port? Look carefully.

Good luck.
