98 gsx limited black deck

Has anybody ever heard of a 98 gsx limited with a black deck and red front cover? Because I just bought one and been doing research and can't seem to find any. All I come across is 97.5 that are gray and red 98 that are purple and 99 that are red with black cover. It has a 951 in it gray motor with white cylinder head, black pipe and black carbs. The last 3 digits of hull number is 798. Any ideas would be appreciated. Also it doesn't look painted or anything

Do you mean something like this? this has a black hull.

Oh wait you said black deck...I assume you mean a black top half of the hull.
Maybe it was painted by PO?

somebody painted it black and installed a red hood and seat. 98's were all red with purple seat, hood, grab handle, bumper trim
and sponsons

The ignition box will also be different on the 98. Single coil.

Seadoo buddy, I like that red lid. I went with the stock black one. It broke off from my camera being mounted to it!

It just doesn't look painted at all, a question on the motor if its a 97.5 will the entire motor be white? Bc mine is gray silver with a white cylinder head

Here it is

I bought both of these skis for 1800 last week the red one is a 99 gsx and black a 98, they both ran but the 98 was faster with a performance impeller and flame arrestor and jetted, I already sold the 99 but I'm wondering now if I should of kept the red 99 instead of the black 98 lol
