97 xp like a 96 xp

is there a way or chance to make a 97 xp perform like a 96 xp?,just curious of any jetting changes or prop changes would help

IMO,in short probably no. The 96 is alot lighter and they both have the same size engine (787). Yes you could change the impeller in the 97, but change it on the 96 and the 96 will outrun it again.

i know the 97 is heavier, if i changed the prop which gives the best acceleration? would jetting help? i i love the way this thing carves :drool5:

Unless you have done other engine mods, jetting would not help. On the impeller change, I used a skat-trak in mine. I called S.T. and asked what they recommended. I dont remember what my pitches were.
