I've read alot of post about fuel floats going bad and gauges not working but it seems most read empty, my is stuck at full. The gauge face has some condensation inside it so it may be the actual gauge that's broke but is there any way to check the gauge to see?

two things can be wrong.

1) If there is moisture int he gage, it's probably bad. Electronics don't like to be wet.

2) One of the magnets on the float could have fallen off, and is stuck in the sender. Unplug the sender wire, and see if it drops to empty. If it does... the sender is your problem.

sender

I replaced the baffle/sender (because it's a unit) in my 2002 XP, it's not easy, but its not impossible either...

Before I bought mine, it had a new engine (that blew up on me), but they did at least replace all the fuel lines for me... I did my '99 GTX myself. Fun stuff.
