97 GTX, how long will 1.6 gal oil last

97 GTX, how long should the 1.6 gals of 2 stroke oil last, is it good for one 15 gal gas fill up, or will it go for a couple of tanks? A newbie, just got a GTX 2 wks ago, still waiting for the maiden voyage.

you should be running about 40:1... so, a tank of fuel should burn about 48 oz of oil. Your 1.6 gal tank should run for 64 gal of fuel.

That was just a quick calculation... and that is to empty, and that never happens. Also, the oil injection is veriable... so it can change the usage.
