Tried emailing the guys at Impros.com, NO response, so I'm back here with the real PROS  I have a 97 Seadoo Gtx, had horrible cavitation with 2 people on it, wouldn't tow a tube at all. Pulled pump to replace wear ring, come to find out it had a
SD-SC-XII, Solas website list this as a 17.5/24.5 pitch, and stock is a 16/23. Well I had a known to be good pump out of a 96 XP, it had zero cavitation issues, so I took the impeller off it, it should be the 16/23 pitch stock. Put it on, definitely better, but cavitation still there bad, I also just replaced the entire bellows(OEM) NOT WSM, carbon ring, steel collar and grease boot, to eliminate it also. Took it out yesterday, does good with 1 person on it, can pin it wide open with LITTLE cavitation, put 2 people on it, and will cavitate bad unless you ease into the throttle and get on top of the water. OK. My question is, if I go to a 15/23 pitch Solas, would that fix my problem? I am going to use this ski for towing, so I need that "out of the hole" grip if you will, without cavitation, I'm not concerned with top speed. Just a thought, but does the pressure applied from the grease fitting on the PTO actually make a difference if not enough grease is in there? Thanks to ALL for your help, you guys always put me on the right path, I am stumped on this one.
