i have a 97 seadoo gsx 787 ski is only getting to 6400 rpms i know it can do more need help with what it can be plase help me

Is this something that happened recently? Have you changed impellers? Is the ski running badly, bogging, surging? Check compression and check the spark plugs. What do the spark plugs look like? What is your top speed?

compression is good impellere is stock its a small bog and spark plugs look like its running rich

Is it a bog from idle during acceleration? Or a bog on the top end of performance? Do you have grey fuel lines?

I think the rectifier issue affects mostly top end RPMs when it starts to fail. Not so much of a lower end issue.

Test at the battery for A/C voltage. If you have some, disconnect the rectifier and see if the issue goes away..

It a free test and it is an easy one...

I can think of several things but before we start chasing gremlins
(although IMO the rectifier gremlin is worth the quick check)
(I tend to think rectifier, exhaust leak, maybe rave's, and maybe WRegulator but its not topping out low enough)

suarez, can you backtrack and give a history ?
was it always like this, how long have you had the ski... what have you changed recently, assuming it wasn't doing this before, or has it gradually gotten worse ? was fuel selector cleaned when fuel lines were done ?
a tad easier to diagnose with a 'lil bit of background on the ski.

last summer i blew the motor over the winter i put in a sbt motor it it and just recently got it going

Did you figure out why the last motor blew?

Did you go through the carbs and fuel system prior to installing the new engine?

yip... knowing what happened would be helpful.

who did the engine install, you, or a 3rd party. ?

tuner's ... refresh my memory.. is the goal around 6800 ?

(i still circle back to rectifier, exhaust leak (seen that before), gummy rave's, and maybe WReg, carb adjusters, slack in throttle cable, timing ?, but just throwing out idea's now)

took out rave valve cleaned them adjusted carbs to stock settings and new plugs gonna test out tomorrow on the water.. where should all 3 rave valves be set for best performance
