Nice find. Once I get done with my current GSX projects I'll be looking for an X4 doo myself.

Looking forward to seeing another one complete, back to running and saved!

This is great he is only 15 minutes up the road from me and we are meeting up Fri to service the ski and work out the starting problem. Yeah X4's are the answer to all the world's problems.

Side note- I no longer have single gauge hoods. A member heard me say that and just bought them both.

Whelp, I cleaned the cables hooked to the battery, and put on a beefier battery charger (even though my other charger said it was fully charged) and voila, crunk right up no problem. Weird.

Still would like to give her a look over if your\'re still interested Matt.

Yeah I gotta have that seat. I can earn it or pay ya for it. I will have many other options on hand.

Does still have the grey fuel lines? if so we need to change those.

Sounds good to me, I'll try and take in as much as possible so I can become a better gear head like you fellas haha

Also give the fuel selector, carbs and rave valves a good cleaning. Give the water regulator a good look over as well as the carbon seal

VTS looks like someone covered it in battery acid with some salt added in for flavor. Oxidation or something I'm guessing

Where you from in SC fokker? I was born and raised in Cheraw, bout 40 min. north of Florence.

p.s GO TIGERS hehe

Good ol' Cheraw huh? Dizzy Gillespie town. I stay about 45 minutes from there in Dillon but occasionally work in cheraw

Brought her over to Matt's this morning and he really helped me out a lot. Major props to you brother. Bringing her up to SC this weekend, pictures to come!

These skis always have little bugs to work out. I have all the parts here to just plug things in so we can find and remedy the issues quickly. If you drive to Niceville we will fix it right and you can take it right back home with you. Just lmk when you have some time. I think you got a great ski so don't worry.

Oh my, I really dig that zebra striped pic that you attached. I would love to do something like that with mine. Yellow XPs are a dime a dozen. lol

Yea they are a dime a dozen, but a clean one on the lake getting huge air is still a head turner, even after all these years.

I'll have to admit I took it easy on mine for the first two 30 minute rides, after that I pounded on it pretty hard. I've always heard the harder you break them in, the better lol. Not sure how true that is

Yes http://www.seadooforum.com/member.php?71013-DAGRE147 was a super nice guy and he got a great deal on a nice ski. It has been used in salt but the pipe plugs were welded. He picked out a seat in good shape that looks good on it.

We checked out the raves and the water valve, replaced missing gasket on the VTS-airbox-black box, replaced the rear electrical box, swapped batteries, greased the PTO and got the missing grey plastic cover with wing nuts, unplugged VTS(motor works but the housing is shorted) so it didn't short out the MPEM, cleaned and greased connections, etc.

His motor sounds tight and the fuel lines were changed already. I offered him two hundred more than he paid for it Ha-ha. It's great to see another Seadoo saved!

Yep good luck scrisp!
it should go perfect. We will be installing his motor Sunday morning. His carbs were just rebuilt, he has a rebuilt motor from 5 star service and he bought a bunch of new odds and ends. He has also changed the fuel lines and oil lines. The pump has been gone through too.

I do not know if he knows this but he has R&d trim tabs as well.

It is a really clean looking machine.
