Hello, i know it's the holiday weekend but i was hoping to get some advice here on this. I just acquired a '96 XP and went head firsty in to changing fuel lines and rebuilding carbs. That was a success. I started it up on the trailer hooked up to my water hose and it was idling great then i noticed water spraying out from the bottom side of the pipe.....knew that wasnt good so i shut it off and got a mirror to look under and see what was up. Noticed a small hole in that half dollar sized "cup" area on the underside. It looks as if someone had used JB Weld on it in the past and it finally gave way. My buddy had this for 8 years and it wasn't him that JB welded the hole so i know it did last for quite a while. My question is whether or not i can do anything similar to get through the last month or so of this season until i can give it a permanent fix this winter. Can it be welded?? Would the JB WEld solution work again?? A picture is attached showing the problem. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot guys, have a good weekend!!
