When you get the registration number you should talk to Mike at pwcgraphics. He can make them match the font and color of the bombardier logo

Looking great(and cold) up there. I can see you even polished up the brass fittings for that head.

Yea polished everything I could. I had to buy a bench grinder with a wire wheel. I tried making the head bolt look good by hand but that didn't last long.

I didn't rebuild the engine when I checked the compression it had 154 on each side so we are going to ride it until it blows and then I'm going to try my first rebuild on my own. And I made a little more progress put the impeller in and the r and d tip

How would you guys mount a bilge pump in a x4? I already have a outlet hole in my hull but I'm not sure how to mount the pump it self.

Use 3m 5200 product to adhere the base to the hull. Hull surface needs to be clean and dry.

I went to the lake today for a test ride. She cranked right up and idled fine and I let it warm up about ten minutes on the trailer in the water. I went for a short ride and it hesitated as soon as I hit the gas so I put it back on the trailer. I'm supposed to be using premium gas and I forgot to drain the tank and fill it up with premium gas. In going to drain the tank full it up with premium gas and give it another try.

Ok I'll give that a try. At this point carb tuning is over my head. Mabye this experience will teach me a few things. I keep reading the carb adjusting sticky hoping it will sink in.

A little long for my liking on the warm up. Could have been loaded up when you first took off. By the description of your ride it was off the trailer and hit the throttle and it hesitated and you immediately went back on to the trailer?

I let it warm up for about ten mins and then rode for about ten to fifteen mins I kept hitting the gas and just did not act even close to right it would pick up speed but not as quick as it should. And with my limited knowledge I figured it was best to put it back on the trailer and get my head wrapped around it. At idle she sounded great but when you hit the gas It kind of sounded like it was trying to go but couldn't get up and go like it wanted to almost like it was missing. After it got going faster it smothed out but still didn't have any real power. On a better note she turned on a dime!

Mine had the same symptoms and started to act like it was running on 1 cylinder. It turned out to be the voltage regulator. Very common issue on the 96'. Pull the red wire from the regulator in the gray electrical box and see if the problem goes away.

I had thought about the regulator but I disregarded that thought because I just put a new one in it in the fall.
it is a simple thing to check thanks. And your right that is exactly how it's acting.

I unplugged the red regulator wire and took it to a local river same problem I also turned the low speed jets out a 1/4 and no change at all. At this point looking for ideas and mabye need to remove carbs and go over pop off again?

Thanks to Matt for tuning up my ski at the lake Norman meet. And nick for the umi steering and the direction on what bars grips and finger throdle to purchase.
I think she looks great.image.jpgimage.jpg
