96 GSX how to set guages

Trying to troubleshoot my electronic readout. Speedo, water temp and compass (if equiped) are not functioning. I have a manual and been following instructions on how to test sensors. I think my speedo and water temp unit is faulty, not sure about compass. What exactly do I have for display on my screen? How do I set my time? Can I change from farenheight to celcius? Cannot read a section at bottom of screen, so unsure what it says. Can anyone help me?

The '96 GSX doesn't have a Speedo, Water Temp, or a Compass.


The only items that will display on a '96 GSX info gauge is Hours, RPM and Chronometer.


The answer to all your other questions is in the owners manual, if you don't have the owners manual you can download it directly from SeaDoo's website in the "Owners Section".

If I recall correctly, to set the time I believe you told down both the "Mode" and "Set" button at the same time, the time will begin to blink, then you use the "Mode" and "Set" buttons to adjust your time.

Thanks TheChad, I will check it out. When I purchased the machine it had a speedo setup at back, looks like someone installed one from different model cause wires don't match up.
