the pop off pressure is about 46psi,and sometimes doesnt stop leaking till i release all the pressure or fiddle with the needle,so i will get new needle and seats.
but,i believe the seat is a 1.2mm,so at 46psi,that would make the springs 80g.i believe the pop off is too hi.so to make the pop off lower, can i get the 1.5mm seats, and stay with the 80g springs.this should give a pop off of 23-43psi.
can someone chime in here n let me know if im on track or just thinking wrong.
also when i pulled the carbs apart,BOTH low speed screws were at 3.75 turns out,hi speed 1/4out.thats WAY too far out for the low speed, right!!?
any help would be appreciated,thanx
troy

Before I can help... is the '95 XP a 720 or 800.

BUT... I can say this...

1) on the 720... low 40's is fine.

2) the needle will leak, and not give a clean "Pop" if there isn't any oil on it. (I like light machine oil, like 3-in-1)

yup and when they pop they usually leak down a little. If they hold the air up till it pops I'd say they are fine.

Those 1.2s are goofy and a little hard to find.

goodmornin, thanx tony,it is a 717.when i was checking it,i was using carb cleaner, the mag pop off would sometimes go up to 60,then blow, most of the time it would blow 46ish.is that ok?
i sure as hell dont want it to go lean,i got it with a blown engine, dont want it to blow again due to something stupid,,thanx again, troy

im just a little anxious that the one pops late (high) sometimes, and thats the cylinder that died.
ill check them again tonight when i het home with 3in1 like tony said,n see how that works.

i was finally able to download the factory seadoo manual for the 95xp(717),the pop off spec stated is,16-21 psi,i had seen the spec in the p.o.s chilton as up in the 40's,
can someone let me know if 16-21 is correct.seems low to me
i got new 1.5 needles n seats,n 65/80 gram springs,they now both pop at 32,every time.(i have the 80gram springs in it)
thanx for any input
troy

thanx nick,but,the manual i just downloaded shows a 137.5,
and no exact per model of pop off pressure,it just says," this must occur within 22-29psi for single carb model,or 16-21 for twin carbs."
do i have a screwed up manual? again?
i have 3 diff manuals,all say somethin different.1 is a seadoo manual,downloaded version.
