1 High Speed adjustment
2 Gas Return line
3 Low Speed adjustment
4 Idle Screw
5 gas comming to carb
6 Pulse line goes to engine works like a fuel pump

I was never good at test get a second opinion :)

If you are going to use these on your new engine, you need to replace those grey lines, rebuild, and clean them VERY well to get all the green tempo goo out of them...

thank you for the photos and posts! i need to do some adjustments on mine and these color ones are great!
if someone wants to put the photos + descriptions ON the photos i could just print those for reference... or i can do it if i get a chance today...

I believe 2) is fuel inlet from selector switch with larger hose
and
5) is return to fuel baffle in tank from smaller hose

not according to the Mikuni PDF i have... the return to tank is on the same side as the high speed screw... the bottom... but the diagram is a cut away, so it's best guess... at this point i only needed to know where the high speed screw was.. so I'm good...

I agree with Pitguy...shame on SBT for not replacing the old lines with new ones during a rebuild......
Oh wait just re-read the post...I guess that SBT only did the motor and not the carbs..
Clean the filters too.

I was planning on replacing the grey lines when i put the engine back in. First time ever pulling/putting engine in any man riding machine. I was planning on have the carbs rebuilt this winter. So if the grey lines are bad why do seadoo continued to use them for so long?

ethanol can suck my left ____. it ruins engines, parts, the enviroment, and causes the price of corn and beef to go way up.

so just making sure i understand before i start. when you mean grey lines you mean all grey fuel lines? or the tiny small fuel lines on the carb:confused:

In a nutshell...Yes... ALL of them.. You will need about 20ft of 1/4 inch fuel line from your local auto parts place and about 20 1/4 inch clamps... It will be worth it.. You don't have to change the vent lines, but it wouldn't hurt..

YES replace ALL the lines that are gray. I would also replace the gray vent lines too. Mine had some green gooey stuff forming at the ends, I assume from gas fumes.
On my 96 GTX the smallest one was the toughest to remove since I couldn't remove the carbs. I would recommend that the carbs be removed and cleaned including the internal filters.
Now that I have proper tools I'll do mine over the winter.

I used just over 20 ft of hose and 20 clamps.
Do one at a time so you don't mix them up. Also clean the fuel selector valve. I labeled mine as i went along...masking tape.

ok replace all grey hoses and auto parts store should have the sizes i need. Theres a debate about #2 and #5 on pics. Can someone confirm plz :)

Thanks for all the replies :) so another question. wheres the filters on the carbs?

They are inside the carbs, so you will have to take them apart to get to them. They look sort of like a thimble.

Since you had the gray fuel lines on there, you should take the carbs apart anyway and at least clean them, but if they have not been rebuilt for some time, you may as well just do that now.
