951 build in 95 SPX x4 hull

Hello everyone,

I have been wanting to dive into a x4 951 build but can not get myself to tear up my 96 xp since it runs like a top. I can get a 95 SPX for $350 and a 98 gtx limited for $800. This seems like a really good starting point to dive into the project because I will be able to sell a bunch of the parts off the 95 spx that I wont use. Is there any significant differences between the 96 xp hull and 95 spx hull? I understand I would have to glass the front mount and cut out a bit on the side for the 96 xp 951. Is it the same for a 95 spx hull?

Find a 787 powered X4 and save yourself a boatload of trouble.

Yep figured that out. I got the SPX today and the dude told me the motor was locked up. However, took the pump off and the motor is fine. So will just fix it up and sell it. Going to pick up a 95 xp X4 717 hull
