Hi, everybody, I'm new here, need help, after forgetting the rear plug and slightly flooding the engine bay, but got it drained quickly, am getting a long beep that cuts after a few seconds as if temp problem but engine cold !! could it be something else, its a 95 version with no dess system so not from that !! anybody got any other ideas ??? Please !!!!!

well... as far as I know... the beeper on a non- DESS SeaDoo is just a warning buzzer. BUT... there are a few late model 95's that received the DESS system. (since you are in France, you may have it) If your lanyard post has 2 contacts (tip and a ring) then you have a DESS XP, and one long beep on start up means it isn't reading the lanyard.

If your post has a switch in the top... I'm not sure what to tell you, other than your MPEM may be dead.

Let us know what your post looks like.

!!!!

its sure its not a dess !! just a 2 wire lanyard push switch, works even when I put my finger on it !! manual says overheating buzzer !!? but not overheating, disconnected heat sensor still buzzes without starting or turning over,

OK.

Try to take the battery wire off for a few minuets, to see if the MPEM resets. If it still doesn't work, you may need a new MPEM.

While you are under the seat... check all the fuses in the electrical box.

XP 95 Beeps !!

have already done all of that !! its really frustrating, normally i manage to find problems on bikes and cars but this is a mistery !!?:banghead:
