Alright I bought a 2000 gtx millenium edition from a guy for a pretty good price. But he threw in the other jet ski too because it was on a double trailer and he didnt want it sitting around. Anyways he said that he had it running last year but I find that hard to believe because i cant get it started what so ever. I have checked all the wires and connections and have 12 volts coming from the battery. At first I thought the solonoid was broke because I would press the start button and just get nothing but after putting a new solnoid in and also getting nothing from that It seems I have no other option but to think its the mpem. I can jump over the solnoid with a wire and get the engine to turn over too. Also checked all fuses and changed them to new ones. Is their any other option? It seems like I have input into the mpem but no output. Any other options would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Kaleb

does anything else work? is the 5amp fuse blown? have you tried using a diffrent battery. There are alot of others things to check before swaping out mpem

Start with basics...The battery needs to be fairly new with good connections at the battery and the ground near the starter. Do you hear 2 beeps with the lanyard first in place? You need 2 beeps letting you know it is ready to start. If you aren't getting any beeps, and the battery is good, if in doubt bring it to like Auto Zone to have it load tested for free, then you will know it's condition. You might have the lanyard mixed up from the other seadoo. Each seadoo will have a programed lanyard to match the mpem. I'm not sure what your level of knoledge is, so like I said here is some basic information... Let us know how you make out.

ok I have a brand new battery and checked and changed all fuses, grounds are fine. I dont get a beep when i put the lanyard on their. And the 95's also dont have a programmed lanyard, just a cap that goes over the kill switch. I know some stuff about them not extensive knowledge but enough to know how to check stuff and work on it.

chances r its not your mpem and your right you just have a cap no dess post. Is your kill switch even working? does it need a key? some rigs have a key ignition like a car. Im thinking its something to do with your starting system electrical wise, try testing the kill switch (sorry chester not trying to lose you a sale lol)

already checked kill switch, its fine, no key, and chester i think im just going to wait I posted that prematurly.

OOPS...I read your opening post about your 2000 gtx...and posted information accordingly, about the DESS post, I hate being human...I'll post some information from the manual for you to check so you can get the 95XP fired up. I can't open the manual from this puter, but I'll open it and repost from my office later today. There are a couple test to do with the correct color code wires that the diagram in the manual will help me explain.

im havin the exact same problem. ive sent my mpem to have the 5 amp circuit repaired. checked my battery, grounds, wires are all matched up. disconnected the black/red wire hooked up everything and nothing...reconnected black/red and nothing, checked all the fuses everything is fine. im lost. ill try to figure it out and let you know this weekend. keep me posted on your progress

I had that same problem on mine, and mine was the VTS module. Stupid water intrusion. Anyway, I disconnect both electrical connectors to it, and no problem. I hate not having everything operate as designed though. Another problem I am having is the gauges are staying on and the hour meter is going up like it is running. I dont know if the problem is related since I just bought it last weekend, and never got to run it with a good VTS.
