95 HX Question on checkvalves

New subscriber and new owner of a fine Seadoo product. I have tech question concerning my recently acquired 95 HX. Recently I replaced all the gray fuel lines and converted to premix via block off kit. Am in the process of rebuilding the carbs (still waiting on rebuild kits...) Dawg gone USPS... Anyways, my question is this, I purchased the ski in nonworking condition and the Oil tank had already been removed. There are 2 check valves located under the fuel tower cover. The Seadoo parts catalog microfiche show these two lines teeing together and going to the fuel baffle. However, as it sits and as I replaced the gray lines with the automotive fuel lines, there is a check valve in the rights side of the hull that actually tee's into one of the check valves from under the fuel tower and to the fuel baffle. The other check valve/pressure release valve has a clear 1/4" line that is connected and runs into the bottom of the hull not connected to anything. I have called several Seadoo dealers and spoke with their service technicians, but to no avail. So I thought I would bounce this off the ever so intelligent forum crowd. Please advise??? :)

My 95 GTS had 2 check valves connected by a tee to the fuel pickup tower. One is at the top of the ski connected to a rubber grommet that is visible when you raise the hood. That one has the clear piping from the grommet to the check valve, then fuel hose from the check valve to the tee. It allows air in, but nothing out. The second check valve goes to a grommet through the right side of the hull, just above water line. The check valve plugs directly into the grommet and then has fuel line to the tee. This valve allows air out above a certain pressure, but nothing in. You can check it by blowing in it to see what pressure it takes to open it.

Thanks for the direction, the way the lines are routed right now are as yours are on the 95 GTS.:)

Also, I did look on the microfiche and there is a vent line to the battery however the battery on this ski must be an aftermarket battery there isn't anywhere on the battery to attach the vent line. Is there suppose to be somewhere on the battery that a vent line attaches, also, what is the purpose of this vent line, does the battery bleed off pressure from the acid banks? I possibly, but more than likely have the wrong battery on the ski? Please advise? Is it safe to run this battery without venting?

My battery has a small nipple on the right side facing downward from the top. That is where the vent line attaches. Most batteries will generate gasses when they are being recharged and this vent takes them outside. If your battery is sealed, it may not need the venting.

It's the battery vent. Don't worry about it if you have a maintenance free battery.
