94 xp front cover not sealing

Ok I have figured out that my ski won't run because I have a bad vaccuum leak. If I choke one of the carbs with my hand it will run and idle, die soon as I unchoke it. I did notice that the cover over the magneto is missing bolts and has a gap at the bottom. Is this supposed to be sealed vacuum tight? There is some sealer visible but not sealing at all, could this be my air leak?

I don't think the magneto cover is causing your problem, that said you do need to seal the cover to keep water and dust out.

Check the pulse line to the carbs., make sure that it's functioning. It should suck and blow. Also check for air leaks, around the base of the carbs. and the fuel lines.

BTW do you have grey tempo fuel lines?

I have replaced all the fuel lines etc. basically done everything to the fuel system to eliminate problems. Pulse line is good, wasn't sure if front box was a problem or not. I will keep searching for my leak.
