I have a 94 GTX which I just rebuilt the top end and am just about finished getting it all back together. I removed the pump not realizing that the cooling water inlet barb is theaded into the pump. I snapped off the barb right at the pump base. It looks like 1/4" NPT. I reinstalled the pump and then super glued the broken fitting and pressed it back into the hole in the hull and hopefully in contact with the other broken piece. I then use silicone caulk to seal around the broken fitting and to hold it in place. My question is this: Is what I did sufficient or am I in too much danger of the piece coming apart and flooding the hull/overheating the engine.

Shoulda just used a easy-out or left handed drill bit. Yer right, just NPT thread.
Nuthin special. Inless ya buy'n at the Dealer.
