Hi, it’s me again with the POS Orange 1993 XP with intermittent spark. So I woke up this morning to work on the ski with some new parts. The ski started immediately without the repairs (ergo - intermittent spark). I then replaced the starter solenoid and the regulator/rectifier. Ski started right back up again. I know I’m not necessarily in the clear yet and if it doesn’t start I know it’s most likely the stator behind the flywheel but I’m going to try to start it again in a few hours and see what happens.
I’m not too familiar with how this oem regulator rectifier “should” look but it sure looks like I have some corrosion or the internals got fried somehow near those lower solders. Any thoughts?
