2022 RXTX not hitting 8000 rpm

Evening all,

I have a 2022 RXTX, stock with the exception of an intake and catch can.

It’s got 12 hours, I decided to get my first oil change early. The dealer of course over filled the oil, filled half the catch can. I pumped more oil out to get it just below the top mark on the dipstick.

I will usually only see 7600 rpm at 67 mph. Sometimes 7700 rpm at 68 very briefly.

I have a Wet Jet SCOM, but it makes no difference. The Sea Doo starts in sport mode when it’s hooked up, so I assume it’s working.

Any ideas how to hit 8000 rpm without a tune?

Your machine is electronically limited to 67 MPH.

If you want to go faster, you need a tune to remove the limit.

I have a SCOM, and no difference.

I would question if your Wet Jet SCOM actually works then as you should be able to go well into the 70 MPH range without the limiter.
