2018 seadoo RXT-X handle bar issue

i just purchased a new to me 2018 RXTX 300 In green and so far im loving it. Its my second ski, my first being the 2013 GTR 215. I noticed that there is a lot of play in the handle bars and i thought that it had something to do with the adjuster. Then the other day i was jumping it out the water and heard a noise in the handle bar as if something gave, and then there was play in the handle bar itself. Before it was the whole console now its handle bar. Any possible reasons what the problem could be?
