2011 GTX 155 old battery issues

I have 2 2011 GTX 155 and they both have very old batteries.

The issues showing on both machines are:

Check Engine
Overheating message
Reverse and Brake don’t work at times
IBR code

Could all of this be due to the old batteries?

I thought when I bought them 3 years ago that they had newer batteries but I just checked and they are very old batteries….

Machines worked awesome prior to current issues happening when we put them on the water last week.

IBR stuff for sure can be caused by bad battery.
Never heard of a false overheat warning due to battery condition.

Batteries can be tested for standing voltage and load capacity to see if they are good , if they fail testing then replace them as they need to be replaced anyways if you wish to continue using the machine. Bad batteries can put excessive strain on the charging system and the IBR needs a lot of amperage to function properly , low voltage tends to burn out motors.
