2011 GTS 130 failure (5 hours)

Went out on erie, its usually wavy, but it wasn't too bad. On the way in i was sitting down while driving and the steering column cracked in half. There was almost zero pressure on the handlebars. Turns out they use a PLASTIC steering column. Wrong place to cut corners seadoo!

Hopefully they cover it under warranty.

LOL that is true, I've settled down a lot, talked to the dealer and service guys, etc. This post is more to let everyont know to check out the steering columns for fragile spots
