Hey everyone,

New to the jer ski world. I am looking into buying this ski from someone off Craigslist. It has really low hours. Only 47 hours. Supercharger hasn't been rebuilt yet. Was curious to how this model ski is?

Is this model ski known to have problems?
What problems have typically happened for this ski?
how often will the supercharger need to be rebuilt? I live in NY, so I assume it was only used in summers. Also, how much does a dealer charge to do a rebuild?
What should I look out for before buying the ski?

Any feedback would be appreciated! I am a noobie and don't know much about skis

We have a supercharger rebuild service. We charge $435 and use all oem parts. If it hasn't been done I still recommend you do it soon.

Thanks for the feedback.

Any idea how this ski is? does it tend to have problems?

I've only read bad things about the iBR system, but don't know how common it is.

iBR issues were significant and expensive so check that for sure.. also some 09's had
jet drive tunnel issues (weakly fabricated) so check that as well. Some 09's had drive shaft
issues as well that could cause sinking (retaining ring issue).

Thanks for the feedback. Is it worth buying? Price is decent I believe (~$6000). I've only been reading bad things about the iBR system so I don't know if it's worth the shot. Seems like the more stuff the ski has, the more problems.

Recommend another model?

From what I've read, the 09's had a pretty high iBR failure rate so if it were me, I'd consider another
year. From paying attention, and not wanting to spend big dough on new or 1-3 year old (they have issues too...) I just upgraded to a 2008 year as it seems that year Seadoo was pretty good. They have the standard SC rebuild requirement of 100 hrs/2 years as every year has. The known issues were detectable before buying the machine - some runs had the weak drive tunnel and the bad rear motor mount but that appears to be the only real issues that are repeated in these forums.

The tunnel issue is the 08 RXT model. Solved in the 09 and newer.

I own the same ski. Have yet to have any issues or failures of any kind. That said, I take good care of my skis. Wash them very well and store them in my garage (and my Lexus sits in the driveway, LOL).

Thanks guys! Passed on it. I only read bad things on iBR. Looking into another ski.

Possibly 2013 RXT 260. Anyone in this thread familiar with them. Good? Bad?
