I recently purchased this ski and am in full learning mode. It has had some work done on it, so I am trying to identify all of the remaining "bugs" in the system. The VTS position indicator on the display will change when I activate it through the menu via the right handlebar control. But the VTS up/down button on the left bar seems to do nothing. Anyone have any ideas?
My initial thoughts are a bad switch or a broken wire. It appears there is only one master wiring harness, so it's not likely that something was simply left unplugged when the top assembly was removed. Thanks for any ideas or suggestions!

VTS Modules fail all the time, but the fact you can make yours work via the menu, I doubt it is bad.

I would unplug the switch and test it with a DVOM (Digital Volt Ohm Meter) on the continuity selection.

Basically, it should be OPEN until you press the switch, then it should show ZERO or no resistance.

Have two 2004 RXP. The VTS quit on one. Took to local dealership to run diagnostics and found the VTS programming had dropped out. Reprogrammed control module and been fine since.
