Hello
I have a seadoo xp limited 950. 1998 with controversy
the engine does not want to start,
If you activate the start button, you will notice that the meters start to work.
VTS can be adjusted with the buttons on the handlebar.
One can hear that the water pump at the back of the battery starts
If you put the key in the key, only one beep is heard.
and nothing more happens.
Have checked contacts, etc. after oxidation, this looks good.
all fuses seem to be whole.

drove it to the local workshop and they check the machine via BUDS but they can not contact the controller.

any ideas on what might have happened?
burned MPEM ??

One beep means it isn’t recognizing the lanyard. It could be a lanyard that isn’t programmed to the ski or the DESS post isn’t working. The good news is the mpem appears to be waking up and activating the gauges and bilge pump.

okay.
The workshop tested with a new key without having it work.
This is an engine with carburettor, and according to the workshop, BUDS connects through the ignition switch.
and because they do not get in touch with the controller
can the ignition lock be the fault ??

but then it should not make a beep when I put the key in the ignition switch.
am I wrong ?
