2009, 2010 GTI worth buying

Greetings all
I am looking to buy a 2009 GTI 130. After doing some research it seems the drive shaft is prone to delaminating. Is this something that should stop me from buying a 2009 or 2010 GTI? With all the used Seadoos available this time of year I can find other years but the couple of 2009 GTIs I found are in great condition and low (under a 100 ) hours. Just didn't want to get something that seems like a good value but could end up costing me more in the long run.
Always appreciate everyone's input.
Thanks!

The problem with purchasing older skis can be parts availability. BRP tends to discontinue parts making eBay your only source for used parts to keep them running. As with any watercraft purchase (in the used market) it depends on how the skis were maintained. Ask the owner some questions such as "what maintenance is required" Since you don't know either; you'll have to download the owner's manual and do some reading. If what the owner tells you doesn't match up with the owner's manual ... walk away. Most importantly, take a PWC mechanic with you and have them look over the skis.

Keep in mind PWCs need a lot of TLC; take care of them correctly, and they will provide a lot of enjoyable hours on the water. Fail to do so, and they can empty your wallet very quickly.

Thanks for the informative reply. I have owned 8 older sea doos and due to being cheap and having good skills have become a very confident sea doo mechanic. I can accomplish most task including pulling engines for swaps. I have learned though I am not great at taking engines apart and putting them back together. Seems like I always miss something in there! I have been getting good at determining value lately in used sea doos. My main question was the drive shafts delaminating with the 2009 and 2010 GTIs. Just wondering if that is an issue to avoid or is it worth it to just to replace the drive shafts and carbon seals moving forward, something I can do. Just was wondering so I can determine valve a bit more closely if those items need to be addressed in determining price.
My newest sea doo is a 2007 GTI SE 155. First 4 TEC and I really enjoy it. Getting older and appreciate the ride and it still has a bit of play in it. Looking to get a couple of more GTIs so as the question about the 2009 and 2010 GTIs. As always, I really appreciate everyone's input, after all, this forum is my main learning tool in becoming a back yard sea doo repair guy!
