Hello everyone,
I just got this Sea-doo this summer and I love it but it had an issue with worn wear ring / impeller.
So I decided to purchase a new wear ring and impeller and install it my self.
The job was pretty easy and after removing the old ring and impeller I've installed a new set, everything looked very promising.
The first time I took it on the water I was impressed the way it accelerated instantly not like before. I was very confident after few test runs that everything is just fine.
But after few fast runs and strong turns there was something wrong, there was a noise and little vibration.
I took it out of the water and inspected the new parts and I've noticed that the wear ring had a deep gauge in one spot, looked like the impeller moved under pressure.
After taking all apart again and comparing the old and new rings it looks like the deep gauge was in the same spot.
What can cause that? ( not balanced impeller, bent shaft, cracked housing, etc )
Need help figuring this out.
