2006 Seadoo GTX 4TEC Gauge cluster replacement

I've seen a few threads on here regarding similar replacements that state you can get the OEM part that must be programmed by a dealer or alternatively, you can get the china cluster. It states the ones from china do not need to be programmed by a dealer.

I was looking at this one on Amazon that shows it is the replacement for the 278002270 cluster.

Anybody tried these out and had good luck? The reviews on Amazon make it sound like a plug and play deal that is simple and, or course, the price is right.

They work well and I've used plenty of them but they do have to be flashed and married to your ski. They will sort of work on some models (missing functions or weird display) without this being done but it will never be perfect until the ECU is married to the cluster with the same security configuration. They can be bought on ebay for less than $100.

Thanks for the reply. The one I was looking at says it does not need to be programmed and is "plug and play".
So good to hear that it might "kinda work" without the flash and programming.
Appreciate it. Will post back with what I get and how it turns out in the end.
