2006 for 5500.00 supercharger has been rebuilt. Now has 112 hrs. Do these handle well in rough water?
I was told about Wiley-X glasses that have the foam snap-out inserts. I bought them and use them religiously on my ski's. Since buying them, I don;t even notice the water splashing into me.. I mention this as, without glasses, the water is just enough of a PITA that it can be hard to see comfortably. With normal glasses the water gets on the inside of the lens and is no better. With the Wiley-X glasses problem solved.
Do they float?

I just went for the maiden voyage with my wedge today.. Really not impressed... It DOES raise the bow more and you CAN feel the difference for sure.. You can also feel the difference in the marsh trails.. It doesn't handle as well and it tends to really kick the behind out ALOT easier and you can't corner as well.. Going through an "S" turn I spun out 4 out of 4 times right in the middle
I'm contemplating taking it off already..

What intake grate are you running? Riva has a warning in their site about running a wedge without a aftermarket grate because it can cause unpredictable handling.
I'm runnin a riva top loader
This is on your '06 GTX? Strange that I had absolutely no negative effects after putting the R&D 2.5 degree wedge in my RXT's pump, it turns better than it did before if anything (it leans further into the turn than before due to the increased thrust up-angle). I did donuts at low and high speeds, tight and large circles, never any problems with the stern spinning out... I also have the R&D Aquavein intake grate which has pretty tall rails. IDK Matt. :-\
I had about 3/4 tank of fuel and no passengers on it, just an 8lb anchor in the front storage area. I still have my OPAS system. Your hull should perform similar to mine I'd think, even though you went RIVA and I went R&D. Strange!
Hey how many degrees is your wedge again?

The '06 GTX doesn't have sponsons? That could certainly account for the stern not holding well in turns. Were they not included with that GTX or did someone remove them for some reason?
The wedge should have increased your mph by 1 or 2 mph if anything it should not have reduced your top speed... with the wedge you have less wetted surface while running, less wetted surface means less drag meaning more speed.
It is possible that your out-of-adjustment reverse cable is also pulling the reverse nozzle down a little also which would cause more drag, get that adjusted correctly before trying it again!
Your top speed was only 40 mph before the wedge and went down 10 mph after the wedge? Even a non-supercharged non-intercooled SeaDoo 3-seater will do a good 50+ mph, so why was yours only doing 40 mph? Matt you may need to start a new thread cause it sounds like you have some other issues going on not related to that wedge and we shouldn't hijack this thread with those issues.

Ahhhh! Ok. I'm not familiar with "marsh trails" then I guess.
No reverse bucket? Why?
I don't think a different set of sponsons is going to make much difference. I do not understand why you're getting such different results from similar upgrades on a similar hull. But if you're still getting some ~68.4 mph at WOT then it hasn't hurt your top speed any and shouldn't hurt your top speed any (except when cornering, as you've described some negative handling effects).
I put mine thru it's paces yesterday and was very impressed with my new R&D 2.5 degree wedge, that's all I can say I guess.
