2004 Sportster 4-Tec rear engine compartment storage tray

Hey everyone... So I recently had some work done on my 2004 Sportster 4-Tec. I just realized that the mechanics forgot to reinstall the rear compartment tray. I didn't realize it til like 10 minutes ago. I have to wait till Monday morning before I can pick it up. I want to take my boat out before then. Is it a bad idea to run the boat without this tray? What are some of the possible negative impacts I can expect if I were to take it to the lake without the tray installed?

The only issue would be that you can't store stuff on it.

Thank you for responding! We took it out today on it's maiden voyage. A lot was learned and we had a stressful blast! Lol! Gonna get the tray tomorrow before hitting the water. Btw, we lost a seat on the freeway on the way there. Ended up finding it on the way back in 2 pieces.Took us 2 run-arounds to get everything. Lol! It was a day for sure!
