Hi,
I'm new to the forum ( first time posting ) and have a question. My 2003 GTX cuts out completely at about 50 MPH or
just over 6000 RPM. When it shuts down, it"s all at once. It restarts OK. If I keep it at 45 MPH or less it"s fine. I"m
thinking it might be a High Limit Switch if it has one or some kind of electrical short. Anyone have any thoughts?

Agreed it sounds electrical. I don't there is a high limit switch. I'm sure some of the top guys here will chime in with some ideas for you. Good luck.

There is a rev limiter to keep the "High Limit" in check. If the system is doing a complete shut-down (now power) then the MPEM is shutting down for some reason. It could be a bad lanyard post... or a bad rectifier/regulator.

You can pull the red wire and see if it runs better.
