Now what would you go with a 2002 XP with a 2011 double trailer for $3500 or a mint 96 xp, like I mean the cleanest 96 xp you have ever scene for $1000with no trailer?

If it's an 800 xp... I would get that. The old X4 hull with 110 HP is a fun ride !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im looking for a second ski for my self. I know the 96 xp is one of the best handling hulls every made and I know a lot about the 787 motor, it has been sitting in storage for the last 6 years and just had the carbs rebuilt and the fule lines replaced the ski is in show room condition. I do like the looks of the 02 and the 02 would be from a certified seadoo dealer and it has a new steering cable new lid shock. I am just unsure of what sounds like a better deal.

An '02 XP on a '11 DOUBLE trailer... or a '96 XP WITHOUT a trailer

I think the answer is obvious... BOTH! :D

That trailer is worth a good bit, and package it with an '02 XP and that seems like a good price.

But only 1000 for a super clean '96 with a 787... I would definitely pick that up.

So I got a chance to look at the 02 XP yesterday and it turned out to be a rat... The motor was good but the exterior was shot to hell it’s been sitting outside for the last 3 years unused and the marina would not budge on the price... I will be looking at a very clean 2000 XPL next Thursday that sounds promising.

I have a 2002 xp and I have no issues. I am very anal with keeping it clean and up on the maintenance. It is a blast on water and handles rather nice for a couch. I opted for the 2002 xp instead of a ultra 150 due to the ultra 150 having some problems, being 3 cylinders (more costs), but they do run close to 70mph stock. I chose to sacrifice 5-10mph.

I also paid 2k for mine with a trailer. the trailer wasnt in the best condition as I had to replace 1 tire and put new lights on it. the skis was in good condition and the PO had all maintenance records. A few scratches on the hull but that is to be expected. Always do a compression test no matter what you buy.

02 xp

I got a 02 XP w/a brand new trailer (nubs were still on the tires) 2009 (in dec 09)

for...

$2,800 :)

With.. a rebuilt engine under warrenty.

Shame, however it ran lean and blew up 1 month out of warrenty (Don's sea-doo in Hallam, PA does $hitty work)!

so, I had a friend rebuilt it right with performance stuff for about $1,000

BEST MONEY I EVER SPENT. I LOVE THIS THING!!!

I sold the trailer for $700 or so, so this thing was $3,100 and it has made me 100,000x happier than the $55,000 i spent on my new Tahoe!!!

(I have a double trailer now)

Now, I no longer have a screaming in my ear (wife) as she rides the GTX, and I LOVE my XP.

I had to replace the start/stop/trim buttons (worked, but had to press so hard)

I also replaced the non working 12v bildge pump

and the oil filter

umm, also some fusses

and the trim adjuster thing broke when I was doing 'wheelies' with it in 2' of water... or my sister stepped on it...

all i can say is, for the same engine as my GTX, it's NOTHING like the GTX.

You get POUNDED on the XP, but put the trim up, stand on the back and WHOOOOO

I have videos of me sinking the whole thing up to the handle bars!

http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=1521392667633

it had a full tank and i was FREEZING, else I would have done more...

This thing is FUN.
